In this course, OpenStack: Installing the Lab Environment, you'll learn how to create the Lab Environment for the Certified OpenStack Administrator(COA). First, you'll explore how to configure OpenStack using PackStack on CentOS 7. Next, you'll build an OpenStack environment on Ubuntu 14.04. Finally, you'll learn to manage and administer those services in a multi-node environment. Description

Having built the OpenStack Cloud, you need to learn how to manage it. Learning to manage the OpenStack Cloud is going to provide you with the skills needed for the Certified OpenStack Administrator. In this course, OpenStack: Getting to Know OpenStack and the COA, you will explore the exam and the practical format that shapes it. In addition to this, you will learn to the basics of Cloud Administration, forming a platform to move on with more detailed administrative tasks. Description

OpenStack administrators are in short supply. In this course, OpenStack: Managing Identities and Objects, you'll develop an understanding of OpenStack management. At the core of OpenStack is Keystone, the identity service. First, you'll begin with a detailed look at managing Keystone Identities and setting up the V3 API. Next, with identities mastered, you'll discover Glance and creating your own Master Images. Additionally, you'll learn how to create multiple Cinder back-ends so you can allow the users to choose their storage type. Virtual machines may also need additional volumes which are provisioned by Cinder. Finally, you'll explore Swift, which allows files and other objects to be stored in the cloud. Understanding these major OpenStack services will have you on your way to mastering OpenStack. By the end of the course, you'll be efficient in working with Keystone, Swift, Cinder, and Glance OpenStack services.

The core services of OpenStack are Nova and Neutron. If you understand these then you can administer OpenStack. In this course, OpenStack: Nova and Neutron, you will learn to manage Neutron Networking, Nova Compute, and HEAT Orchestration services. First, you will delve into using ip netns to jump onto internal networks. Next, you will learn to customize Nova Instances with scripts. Finally, you will dive into automating the build and tear down of resources in an Agile environment using HEAT. When you are finished with this course, you will be competent in working with Neutron, Nova, HEAT, and troubleshooting OpenStack services.
