Course Overview Hello everyone. My name is Brian Alderman, and welcome to my course, Planning and Configuring Collaboration with SharePoint Online. I'm a Microsoft MVP and MCT, which is a Microsoft trainer, for 20 consecutive years, so I've been doing lots of training. I'm an author of four published books. My latest two are MS Press SharePoint books. I'm a speaker at several SharePoint and Office 365 conferences around the world, and I'm a consultant at my own company called MicroTechPoint. SharePoint Online is a powerful and dynamic tool that's available in Office 365, and it's the primary component involved with an online collaboration solution. I'm looking for a solution here, not just a single product. And with that said, SharePoint Online integrates with other popular products like OneDrive for Business, Delve, and even Office 365 groups to provide that versatile online collaboration solution. So in this course, we're going to introduce and discuss how to create and configure a site collection in SharePoint Online, including configuration of quota levels and security with that site collection. We'll get configuring external access to the content stored in SharePoint Online. We'll also talk about the integration with other collaboration tools like Yammer, OneDrive for Business, Delve, and even the use of coauthoring. And we'll take a look at implementing security compliance through the use of DLP, data loss prevention, and MDM, mobile device management, as well as eDiscovery. So by the end of this course, you'll know how to properly configure and manage SharePoint Online as part of your Office 365 collaboration solution. Before you begin this course, it'd be helpful if you're familiar with Office 365 and if you have access to a tenant that includes SharePoint Online, so that way you can perform some of the configuration options as you learn them throughout the course. Well, I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn about SharePoint Online with the Planning and Configuring Collaboration with SharePoint Online course, here at Pluralsight.
