In today's AEC industry, risk mitigation is a key factor in ensuring a cost effective project. One way to reduce this risk is to prevent costly mistakes in the field by detecting them within your Revit Model Project. The Interference Detection Tools within Revit will allow you to find all the clashes within your model and help you fix your design before it is constructed in the field. If you would like to learn how to utilize this tool to your fullest potential, then this course, Revit Essentials: Interference Checking is for you! In this course, you will learn all about Interference Checking. First, you will learn what interference checking is. Next, you will learn where and when they are used and how to create your own custom interference check. Finally, you will learn how to resolve any conflict found utilizing the interference checking tool. When you complete this course, you will be able to apply what you have learned to ensure your designs do not have any conflicts within the Revit model. Software required: Revit.

Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Dzan Ta, and welcome to my course, Revit Essentials, Interference Detection. I am a technical specialist based out of Kennesaw, Georgia, specializing in all things BIM. Today, you're going to see how interference detection tools within Revit help reduce construction time, save money, and reduce construction risk. You will gain a better understanding of what interference detection tools are, where interference checks are used, how they are used, as well as learn how to create custom interference checks for future use. Some of the major topics that we will cover include what interference checking is within Revit, where they are used and how they are used within Revit, how to create a custom interference check for use within Revit, and how to take care of any interferences that come along the way. By the end of this course, you will be comfortable creating any interference check and resolve those conflicts within Revit for your design. Before you begin this course, you should be comfortable in the Revit software and 3D modeling. I hope you'll join me in this journey to learn all about interference checking within Revit with the Revit Essentials Interference Detection course by Pluralsight.

What Is Interference Checking?
Welcome to the first module in our course, Revit Essentials, Interference Detection. What is interference checking? In this module, you'll understand what is interference checking within Revit. We'll focus in on the actual definition of an interference check, and take a look at some examples within the Revit software. And with that, let's go into the Revit software.

Where and When Is It Used?
Welcome to the next module in our Revit Essentials Interference Checking course. Where and when is interference checking used? Our concept in this module is to understand where and when are interference checks used within the Revit project, and within your project as a whole. We'll look at where they're used, as well as, when they are used. And with that, let's get into the software.

How to Run a Custom Interference Check
Welcome to third module in our course, how to run a custom interference check. In this module, you will learn how to create a custom interference check within the Revit software. When we look at how to run a custom interference check, we'll take into account all the particular aspects of the software to create that custom interference check. And with that, let's get into the software.

How to Resolve a Conflict Within the Interference Report
Welcome to the final module in our course. How to resolve a conflict within the interference report. In this module, we'll learn how to resolve any one of those conflicts that were found in the custom interference report that you generated in the last module. In resolving this conflict, it'll help us understand the tools that are being used and also how this ultimately reduces risk mitigation. And with that, let's get into the software.
