Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Sonia Cuff, and welcome to my course, Office 365: Deploying & Updating Office 365 ProPlus. I'm a Microsoft MVP and technology consultant at my own company, The Missing Chair. Office 365 is the fasting growing part of Microsoft's business in their entire history. The Office 365 ProPlus desktop versions of Word, Excel, etc. are used by businesses with a couple of staff members, right through the large enterprises. This course gives you the tips, tricks, and resources for a successful Office 365 ProPlus rollout that's also easy to keep updated in the future. Some of the major topics that we will cover include understanding Click-To-Run software, planning your update structure, troubleshooting a failed deployment, and updating the Office 365 ProPlus software. By the end of this course, you'll be confident deploying Office 365 ProPlus into your organization, and you'll understand its update management. Before beginning the course, you should be familiar with Group Policy and System Center Configuration Manager if you already use those in your organization, but you can deploy Office 365 ProPlus without them. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn how to roll out and manage Office 365 ProPlus, with the Office 365: Deploying & Updating Office 365 ProPlus course, at Pluralsight.

Planning Your Update Structure
Welcome back to Office 365: Deploying & Updating Office 365 ProPlus. In this module, we'll look at Planning Your Update Structure. This is really important because the decisions you will make in this planning process need to be included in your deployment configuration. In this module, we'll cover some pre-deployment considerations, what things you already have in your environment that might be impacted when you roll out a new version of Office. We'll look at the servicing model, which is how Office 365 gets its updates, and you'll learn about the different release channels and what they mean, and the schedules for when updates are rolled out into those channels. I'll also talk about rollbacks, because you can step back to a previous version, but there are some impacts of doing that. And you'll also learn some architecture best practices for how to structure updates in your organization. And finally, I'll link you to some useful resources for the latest detailed information from Microsoft.

Troubleshooting a Failed Deployment
Troubleshooting a Failed Deployment, because sometimes you get errors. In this module, we'll have a look at what kind of error messages you can expect when you deploy Office 365 ProPlus. We'll talk about what actually failed, and you'll learn what to check to troubleshoot the root cause of the problem.
