Hi everyone, my name is Jonathan Mills and welcome to my course Building Web Applications with Node.js and Express.

I have been a JavaScript developer for a long time and love being able to leverage those skills in building backend web applications.

In this course, we are going to build a web application from the ground up using node.js and express.

Some of the major topics that we will cover include:

  • Templating Engines
  • Databases including Mongo and SqlServer
  • Security with Passport
  • 3rd Party Apis

By the end of this course, you’ll know how to build a full blown web application.

Before beginning the course you should be familiar with JavaScript in general but I will cover the node side from the ground up.

I hope you’ll join me on this journey to learn node.js and express with the Building Web Applications with Node.js and Express course, at Pluralsight.
