Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Kevin Henry, and I'm a certified information systems auditor, and welcome to this course, Information Systems Auditor: The Process of Auditing. I'm a security evangelist and trainer at Team Cymru. This is the first of five courses in this series to prepare you for ISACA's certified information systems auditor examination and to prepare you to perform information systems audits. In this course, we're going to examine the knowledge necessary to be an effective information systems auditor and provide value to your organization as an internal auditor or audit consultant. Some of the major topics we'll cover include audit standards and practices, planning and scheduling an information systems audit, audit tools, techniques, and methodologies, and preparing an audit report and delivering the results to management. By the end of this course, you will be well on your way to tackling ISACA's CISA certification examination. Having prior experience in audit and the knowledge of information systems is desirable, but not required to benefit from this course. From here, you should be comfortable diving into the courses on information systems audit governance and management, acquisition and development of information systems, operations maintenance and IT services, and the protection of information systems assets. I hope you'll join me in this journey to learn information systems audit with the Information Systems Auditor, The Process of Auditing Course at Pluralsight.
