Hi everyone. This is Bruce Mackenzie-Low, and welcome to my course, Using Failover Clusters in Windows Server 2016. So I'm a system software engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise where I troubleshoot Windows servers focusing on failover cluster configurations. I've been supporting clusters for over 30 years, in addition to speaking at conferences and developing courseware. As you may know, failover clusters are growing in popularity, especially with Hyper-V workloads. Just look at what Microsoft has done with their Azure Cloud, which is based on Hyper-V failover clusters. In this course, we're going to take a look at some of the major new features associated with failover clusters in Windows Server 2016, focusing on Hyper-V enhancements such as increased resiliency, workload balancing, and startup ordering for virtual machines. We'll also take a look at performing rolling cluster upgrades, enhanced cluster logging, and new geocluster features such as site awareness, cloud witness, and storage replica. By the end of this course, you'll have the knowledge and confidence you'll need to implement Windows Server 2016 failover clusters in your environment.
