Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Jaekob Chenina, and welcome to my course, Adobe Analytics Implementation Fundamentals. I'm a product manager for artificial intelligence at Adobe Analytics. Before joining Adobe, I worked as an analytics engineer, and as a data scientist. Everything data is my passion, but Adobe Analytics is more than data. It's a window into what your customers do, want, need, and believe. It's a tool to guide the experiences that matter. This course is a quick introduction to implementing Adobe Analytics, and no prior Adobe Analytics experience is required. Some of the major topics that we will cover include solution design, global implementation configuration, coding custom variables, best practices, and common mistakes to watch out for. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn how to implement Adobe Analytics with the Adobe Analytics Implementation Fundamentals course here at Pluralsight.

Predefined Traffic Variables
Let's jump into Predefined Traffic Variables. In this module, we're going to understand the purpose of the predefined traffic variables, we'll understand the coding best practices, and we'll learn about the variable limitations. There are four primary predefined traffic variables. We're going to talk about four predefined traffic variables: s. channel, this helps you analyze content categories; s. server, this will help you see the usage in a more broader context; hierarchy variables, help us track usage based on the hierarchy established on your website; and s. page type help you track broken links. We're going to talk about each of these in detail.
