Joe is a Network Consulting Engineer working in the public sector space, assisting customers develop functional and secure network architectures. His experience in the IT industry began in 2010 working in communications in the US Army. He supported various customers within the Military in satellite communications, networking, security management, and voice and video communications. Upon separating from the Military and prior to his current role, Joe supported the Missile Defense Agency as a DoD contractor providing network design expertise. He graduated from Excelsior College with a B.S. in Information Technology (Network Management) and an M.S. in Cybersecurity. He currently holds many IT certifications to include CISSP, GSEC, and CCNP Security. He is also a member of the GIAC Advisory Board. Joe is a mentor to many individuals and a blogger who spends his time either with his wife and three children, researching and writing about technology, or studying for his CCIE certification. Spending much of his experience helping to train and educate IT professionals, he is passionate about teaching and always strives to be a positive influence in IT.
